GDPR principles

SENCAT take data security and confidentiality very seriously. Everyone has rights with regard to how their personal information is handled. During the course of our activities we will access, process and store personal information about a number of different groups and individuals and we recognise that we need to treat all the data we have in an appropriate and lawful manner.
The type of information that we may be required to handle include details of job applicants, current, past and prospective employees and employers, pupils, parents / carers and other members of pupils’ families, governors, suppliers and other individuals that we communicate with including government and local authority agencies. The information, which may be held on paper or on a computer or other media, is subject to certain legal safeguards specified in the GDPR and other legislation. The GDPR imposes restrictions on how we may use that information.

    We have updated our Privacy Policy. It provides details about how we process your data, how we store your information and how we transmit data to our partners and customers. It also explians how we use the data to fulfil our roles.

    and where we can, we will make sure your details are deleted within 30 days of the request being received. We will retain your information for as long as needed to provide you with the services contracted for or as long as needed to fulfil the purpose for which the Personal Data was originally collected. We may also be required to retain certain information by law and/or for legitimate business purposes (for example, VAT records).

  • Your Right to Restrict Processing

    We manage a 'need to know' access system within our business and we use password permissions to control who can view a customer's Personal Data.

  • Your Right to Object

  • Data Storage & Access

    Your personal information will be stored on a SENCAT consultant's laptop for the duration of project work and then archived. We store all data for a maximum period of 5 years. All access to IT systems is reviewed regularity and all computers are password protected.
